Hello  Lyonsgate Families,

Next week is parent-teacher conference week. There are some spots available after school on Monday-Thursday, and both Lyonsgate campuses will be closed to students on Friday, June 5, to accommodate the conferences. Child-care is available during your conference, and you can find the sign-up below if you still need to select a conference timeslot. Thank you.

This week, the Toddler team share some of the wonderful growth and steps taken by Lyonsgate’s Toddler students this year.

Dear Families,

As we begin wrapping up another wonderful school year, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the beautiful moments we have been seeing here in the Toddler classroom.

Over the past few weeks, the students have continued to strengthen their friendships while building meaningful connections with one another. We have noticed so much kindness, compassion, and cooperation during the classroom work cycle and at recess. During outdoor play, the children have been creating imaginative games together while practicing turn-taking, problem-solving, and teamwork. With the warmer weather finally here, we have been able to enjoy painting outside and looking for different insects while discussing their characteristics. We have been practicing gentle and respectful ways to interact with living things. The shared conversations the students have encourage language development, curiosity, and collaborative learning among one another.

As we approach the end of the school year, we are seeing the Toddler students take great pride in working together on classroom projects and helping to care for their classroom environment. Whether assisting other students, tidying materials, or collaborating with friends, the children continue to show growing independence and a strong sense of community within the classroom.

It has been such a joy watching each child learn and develop throughout the year. Thank you for your continued support and partnership — we truly appreciate being a part of your child’s early learning journey!

Sincerely,

The Toddler Team.
