Hello Lyonsgate Families,

The new Spring/Summer menu for Casa and Toddler students goes into effect on Monday, April 13. You can view the menu here: https://lyonsgate.ca/lyonsgate-lunch-menu/ (it’s always under “Parents” on the school website), and you can always check the week of the lunch menu on the Lyonsgate calendar.

This week, we have an update from Casa North French language assistant, Mme Murati.

Bonjour …c’est le printemps!

This week our students shared their Easter experiences from the past weekend, and I’ve heard that the Easter bunny was very generous!

So, they worked on expressing their preference in French:

“Est-ce que tu préfères les oeufs de poulet ou biens les oeufs au chocolat?” As you can imagine, their answer was, “Au chocolat, miam miam!!”

In Casa North, our little friends have  been working on French spring, insects, and forest animals vocabulary. Daily, we start our French circle by saying the date (day, the month, year) and what’s the weather outside (windy, sunny, cloudy…).

Lately, we have been singing “les mois de l’année,” and “la-chanson du printemps.”

We had a lot of conversations after reading “Comment ne pas se faire manger par les ours.” If you ever get to meet a black bear, don’t climb a tree and don’t run! If you ever get to meet a brown bear …play dead! At the end, everyone agreed it’s simple, don’t meet a bear, it’s dangerous.

En attendant le beau soleil, je vous dis à bientot,

Mme Murati.
